Time moved on and eventually the kid wondered if there was more to the world than just pulled pork and the endless conversation of the ladies working the front window. The young man's name was Josh Daugherty, and over the next fifteen years he trained at the best restaurants on Florida's Gulf Coast, eventually becoming an Executive Chef himself. What Josh didn't know was that the sweet smell of wood smoke had rooted itself into his memories and into the soul itself, inspiring him to leave upscale cuisine behind and pursue his original culinary passion – the beautiful simplicity of slow roasted, pulled pork.
