There are 21 inshore fishing reefs located within the confines of Mississippi sound, Mobile and Bon Secour Bay. The reefs are comprised of concrete construction debris, roof panels, culverts oyster shells and crushed limestone. The Seven gas platforms in the lower end of Mobile Bay have been enhanced with limestone rock fish attracting pads. Additional reefs are planned in the future to further enhance the inshore fishing opportunities in Alabama waters.
